Brite Organix Semi-Permanent Hair Color

So recently I got together with Forever 21 and we I got to play around with some fun hair color products. As some of you may or may not know, I not only freelance doing hair and makeup on set but I also work behind the chair in a salon!

This year I really stepped out of my comfort zone and started to experiment with fun bright colors on myself. From Silver, to Neon Yellow to Minty Green and Blue.. so when I discovered Brite Organix they definitely sparked my interest. What really caught my attention is that they’re not only a Cruelty Free company but they are also organic and vegan friendly.

Brite Organix offers many different products like Hair Shadow, Shampoos and Conditioners and more. I personally got to play with their Liquid Hair Chalk on myself. It’s super easy to use and it washes right out! The most frequently asked question I get about their Liquid Hair Chalk is, “Does it really work on brunettes and dark hair?”  I have to admit, I didn’t think it would but we tested it out on set on someone with dark curly ringlets and it not only worked but it was just as bright as mine! REALLY!

JUNE FAVORITES 2016

SUMMER 2016 marks a chapter when I step back into the world of YouTube. While I’ve always thought, “I’ll just wait until I have better equipment…” or “I need it to be PERFECT…” or “I’m just not quite READY…” I now realize that, among other things in life, you will never be ready. You just have to start! So here we go!

Strobing. Highlight. Glow. These are all different names we’ve been hearing a lot lately regarding the latest makeup trend. The truth is, this style of makeup has been around for a long time! Below are a few of my favorite products I like to use to create a look like the one pictured above.

Here are my favorite points to highlight:

1. The inner corners of the eye; This will help to open up your eyes

2. The high point of your brow bone; This will help lift your eyes up

3. On top of your cheek bones; This creates a healthy, youthful glow. TIP: avoid applying a shimmer finish on top of textured skin like acne or wrinkles as this will only accentuate those features.

4. The tip of the nose; This will make your nose look slightly turned up and look like a cute button nose. TIP: avoid putting a shimmer all the way up and down the center of the nose, this will just make you look sweaty!

5. The cupids bow; My favorite way to make your lip appear more full

RaeLynn hosting the red carpet for the ACC Awards. http://www.raelynnofficial.net

I always LOVE getting to glam up RaeLynn! I especially love collaborating with her and coming up with some gorgeous looks together for her various appearances. This time, she called me up to help her get ready for the ACC Awards where she was hosting the red carpet! SO much fun!
Here she wanted something a little more edgy so we opted for some beachy waves, keeping the ends straight to create a sort of effortless feel. And for her gorgeous face, we wanted to play up the eyes and LOTS of lashes, of course!

BRIDES magazine

It’s always so exciting to be part of a bride’s Big Day. But this one was very special to me. My friend and client Jaime Moffett (now Gossin), asked me to be part of her special day and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Check out her article in BRIDES magazine here!

Get the Look: Bronze Goddess

Products used: MAC Gloss on the lids, Gleam by Melanie Mills in Rose Gold to highlight cheekbones, and MAC’s Fix+ all over to finish

To create this look, I gave my model a deep brown and gold smokey eye. I used my finger to gently apply MAC Gloss to the lids to achieve a glossy eye. You can also use Vaseline or generic petroleum jelly. –This isn’t ideal for an every day look as the gloss will move very quickly, but this a neat way to get a unique look for photo.

To get a dewy finish, I buffed in Gleam by Melanie Mills in ‘Rose Gold’ over the high points of her face like her cheek bones and down her nose. And to seal the deal, spritz MAC’s Fix+ all over for an all over glow.
